Year 5 have been given the challenge of writing a short story to submit into the BBC's 500 words competition. The creative juices have begun flowing, and we have planned our stories. Today we move onto writing them! It's going to require a lot of delving into our writer's tool kits - that the children have spent most of their school days assembling - but I think the results are going to be worth it!
What is your story about? Does it have a twist or a turn? How are you going to hook the judges of the competition, and make sure they don't want to put your tale down?
My story is about a girl, who is gonna go to the pet shop to buy a chihuahua, and she always asked for one.

ReplyDeleteMy story was about a girl called Jessica and she loved chocolate. She was very mean and nasty. The twist is that at the end there is a moral, and Jessica gets turned into a chocolate bar, because someone told her that she could have one wish and she wished to be rich but the person misheard and thought she said a witch. Jess was fiddling with the wand she got from being a witch and was saying nonsense words. She turned herself into a chocolate bar. A little boy came and ate her.
